Tips to clean your delicate jwellery at your home
You have a beautiful ring and you want to keep it shining always then what tips you should apply? Jwellery are the most favourite thing of people and for some people it is the perfect way to enhance their look.
Mostly people judge the beautiness of jwellery with its shine but most of the time because of dirt or not kept properly, that delicate jwellery look like old.
This can happen with gold or silver ornaments, oxidised jwellery,but we feel like it’s loosing it’s shine. But there are many ways how to keep it properly so that it doesn’t loose its shine.
We had atalk with famous jwellery designer which designs jwellery and works in making market so she has a good knowledge of this .
According to her there are many ways but the most important thing is that in which way you treat different jwellery.
For example-
1- Are you keeping oxidised jwellery with other type of jwellery.
2- Every type of jwellery react with salt or other chemicals so do you take care of that or not?
3- Are you not keeping jwellery in water for long time?
4- Are you washing your rings daily or do you kneed while wearing ring?
5- You should keep your jwellery from sweat, makeup and should clean it properly.
And here if we talk about to keep jwellery shiny then you should know one thing that jwellery can’t remain same throughout its life and if you are cleaning any one jwellery in a way then the same way doesn’t apply for other jwellery.
Reasons for loosing shine of jwellery-
Shine of jwellery can be lost by different ways which include mishandling and not to keep jwellery clean .
1- The shine of jwellery looses by the sweating
2- Shine also looses if it comes in contact with dust or dirt.
3- It looses shine if artificial or real jwellery kept together at one place.
4- Misstorage can leads to loose shine of jwellery.
So with a small trick you can get your shine back of your jwellery so let’s see what are that ways-
1- Use of reetha- it is a natural cleanser so it can be proved useful in cleaning jwellery.
Procedure-
1-Take 2 glass of water in a vessel and put 50 gm reetha in it and let it melt.
2-Cook it for few min on gas.
3-after that put any type of jwellery in it.
4-after some time, remove the jwellery from that vessel and clean it with toothbrush.
5-You will get your shine of jwellery back.
2- Use of washing powder-
You can use washing powder for real jwellery only because it can cause damage if used for artificial one.
Procedure-
1-Boil water in a small vessel
2-mix washing powder in it
3-put jwellery in it
4-remove jwellery after some time from the vessel and clean it with toothbrush.
3- Use of ammonia powder-
You can use ammonia powder to clean gold or silver jewellery.
Procedure-
1-Put ammonia powder in a warm water in any vessel.
2-Make a mixture and put your jwellery in it.
3-Now remove your jwellery out and clean it with toothbrush.
Note- Only put solid jwellery in it. The jwellery which contains pearls don’t apply this method. And if you are using ammonia powder then do it very carefully.
4- Use of toothpaste-
Procedure-
1-This method can be applied for those jwellery which doesn’tloose it’s colour.
2- Take toothpaste on brush and clean jwellery.
3- after some time wash jwellery with clean water.
4-note it that it should be clean with soft hand
5- Use of salt-
You can clean your jwellery by putting in it warm water and salt.
Put your jwellery in warm water and put some salt in it.
Clean it properly after some time.
And if your jwellery are expensive then you should not apply these method , you should go out to clean your jwellery. You should make a note you should clean your jwellery in a way so that it’s design won’t get affected.
